My own take is that a reasonable person doesn't have to correct all their biases before they tweet, as long as they are willing to correct for them in the course of conversation. We have too many blind spots to catch them all, & others can see them more easily than we can.

The key is acknowledging that we are all internally inconsistent in our beliefs which are a factor of our life experiences. No one is perfect and can cast the first stone. We are all learning as we go. It is ok to accept we are all hypocrites to varying degrees.

I gave a talk to my team at work (we're CPAs) about cognitive biases and heuristics. They were vocally disappointed (remember, CPAs) after I completed my discussion and couldn't offer a solution other than suggesting various imperfect mental models.
