Do you know why Chick-Fil-A is being accused of upholding cancel culture? Because it chose to no longer give money to certain groups it deemed homophobic. The same principle is at play in Dave's refusal to stop eating at Chick-Fil-A: ceasing business due to conflicting politics.

They both belong to the super-set of generating attention without doing anything productive (and moreover getting people to hate each other) Someone needs to figure out how to alert people against this general pattern... without becoming prey to it themselves

The first rule of cancel-culture-hysteria: nobody, no company, can ever change their mind or have a change of heart.

The same criticisms you have here for Dave Rubin I have for Candace Owens. Disgruntled counterproductive identity politics is still counterproductive identity politics.
-
Rubin was not like this when I got into him a couple years ago. He now oscillates, but seems to be spending more and more time just waging culture war.
