Not necessarily. This is what extremists in politics do. Sometimes they prevail. But never always. Politics is about aggregating competing interests and most of the time the process works well in democracies.

I find this tweet ultra aggressive, and tantamount to a call for violence, yet it’s the most true thing anyone has ever spoken, and must be divinely inspired.

Have you read Carl Schmitt or something? Not that I think he's entirely wrong of course, people tend to be friends in the face of a common adversary... But I always thought that kind of conception of politics was a bit... Shallow.

In the end I always prefer good old Socrates. Anyone that can look at themselves and think for themselves is a person that isn't choosing to relinquish their own freedom of thought. Our enemy should be ourselves. As should be our friend. Let you guess how that is.

This is why news media needs to be unbiased and objective, and take vows upon entering journalism that can be stripped away like a medical license for malpractice

You are asking for them to not be journalists then. Just picking what news subject is worthy to be shared require them to have judgment, and someone who can't think for themselves, as objectivity requires, can't judge. No subjectivity, no journalism.
