A *tiny* proportion of liberals do. I wouldn't use that to tar and feather liberals generally.

“The mainstream media is mainly liberal” isn’t quite the defense you think it is.

Not trying to defend anything. Merely pointing out flaws in research.

Who’s deciding what bias the news organisations have - the people being polled, or the pollsters?
-
Seems to be the former.

Also there’s a false equivalence between, say, news outlets that report the news but with a liberal slant to their editorial - and ‘news’ outlets that completely fabricate stories for a conservative agenda.

It’s way too simplistic a category to say the AP, BBC, MSNBC, The Young Turks, etc. are all the same kind of liberal with the same spun narratives. The same can be said to a lesser degree for the Fox News, Breitbart, InfoWars spectrum for the cons category.
-
My issues stem from conflating liberal and conservative as dichotomous, which they aren't. Liberal is anti-authoritarian and conservative is anti-progressive. They are different axis.

This is a two year old study. Would be interesting to see a better study reflecting today's situation.

There isn't anything balanced about media and centrism here acts mostly as a cushion for leftists who have been taught to reflexively counter criticisms from the right. By most definitions I'm more leftist but the degree of bias has been a revelation and difficult to discover.
