I was saying that of the people I come across for whom I have a instant sense of their integrity and trustworthiness, someone you would hope a lost child would find, they too often seem to have been raised by jws but no longer involved. Ur penpal is one.

I wasn't raised by JWs per se; my mother was a closet JW but my dad was vehemently against JWism and would brook no mention of it. Still, my 2 JW aunts did try to secretly indoctrinate me when I was very young, routinely reading me texts and smuggling me away to the Kingdom Hall.
