Agreed. Any fringe belief, be it antivax, Nazism or whatever, has success because it caters to a need in some people’s psyche, which is often to feel better or smarter or more special than others.

I disagree with it, but can understand the appeal for antivaxxers. Similar for Jehovah's and blood transfusions. I think it's silly (what with modern tech to avoid illness), but I can understand it.

There’s a return/appeal to anti vaccine parents of autistic children in the sense that they have a boogie man to blame and release their anger and frustration on. Hoping I don’t have to say the obvious that’s it’s wrong.
