I don't think it's an explanation though. What sane person reads a few anti-white tweets and then concludes that Hitler was right? It's like saying that Western foreign policy explains men stoning women for adultery.

I think he’s explaining (with limited characters to do so) how tribalism & exclusion fuels further tribalism. It’d be silly to read further into it than that, knowing how opposed to racism & supremacism of any kind Bret is

I'm not suggesting Bret is in any way racist. I'm saying that his belief that white nationalism is a natural response to reading a few anti-white opinions online is incredibly simplistic and misleading.

You keep saying "a few" but I can give you almost unlimited examples of "white" being used as a pejorative

I can give you just as many examples of anti-Muslim bigotry. Does that justify people joining ISIS?

Of course not. That's irrelevant though, the point I am making is that you are absolutely wrong when you claim it is just a "few" opinions, it is very widespread and mainstream

Only to people who spend most of their time online. The amount of actual anti-white hatred, in the *real* world, is miniscule compared to, say, anti-Muslim hatred.

Not sure why the amount relative to some other common thing is meaningful Fact is that judging white people on the basis their race is widespread; online, on campus, in government, in media, and everywhere else. Its not just a few opinions online, that's a mischaracterization

If you're gonna claim there is an epidemic of anti-white hatred in the real world, please provide evidence.

I think there is some space between "a few opinions online" and an epidemic This alone is more than just a few opinions: https://mobile.twitter.com/search?q=Wypipo&src=typed_query … If youd like examples from academia, media and entertainment I can provide those too just not as easily

You realise you just provided examples from Twitter, and not real life, thus proving my point, right?
