Unfortunately, the skillsets that *are* improving tend to be those that are highly specific, contextualised, and tech-reliant, which is not particularly reassuring.

I regard attempts to improve the brain’s cognition as a greater threat than AI, due to the brain functioning on a chaotic base-architecture. Imagine giving someone the intellect to wipe out life on earth without mitigating their capacity for paranoia, panic, anger, insanity...
