been very slightly disappointing. The lack of a proper gay relationship (yes, they danced around the idea in TNG’s “The Outcast” and DS9’s “Reunited” but still my disbelief was suspended almost to breaking point at their being so many weird & wonderful alien species out there—

And yet an entirely heterosexual universe. That’s senseless. They corrected this in the most non-token way. Stamets & Culber’s relationship is at the heart of the series. Today’s episode was emotionally devastating. (The two actors are magnificent: thanks

Then, again, there is the relationship between Section 31 & the rest of Starfleet. They are such textbook villains in the later seasons of DS9—& yet nothing they do is as sinister as Starfleet Medical’s attempt at genocide. I want to see their tentacles extending across Starfleet

Spock, probably the most beloved character in the entire franchise, is half human but that side of his personality was never explored. The tension that must result from even full-blooded Vulcans’ constant suppression of emotion (they are not naturally all cold logic: they CHOOSE

Yes, yes, there is a lot to forgive them for. Bad camerawork, the new Klingons, the fickle & annoying Ash/Voq character. But don’t rain on my mycelial parade. I think this is worth adding to the canon.

All my new followers have almost certainly unfollowed me again now. Hey,
@TheRocsWorld,@calciferion—is there anyone else out there? What did you think? Also,@Darren_Mooney, my god the Stamets-Culber scenes in this one. I am heartbroken.4 replies 0 retweets 3 likesShow this thread -
Also, people who always chime in to tell me to watch “The Orville” instead—what I saw of it was marvellous. But sadly there is no way to watch it in this region. I’ve tried. Anyway, I’m going to make another attempt to persuade
@LTF_01,@G_S_Bhogal &@glukianoff to persevere.7 replies 0 retweets 7 likesShow this thread
