I agree with the article's argument, but find it strange that

That's not his critique. He says that because they assume MJ's guilt from the start, they leave out possibly exculpatory evidence.

His critique rests on the filmmakers' presumption of MJ's guilt without evidence, which he confesses to also having in the first paragraph of the article. As I said, I agree with the substance of the article, I just find this aspect of it incongruous.
