Attacks on free speech do occasionally occur, but they are not systemic as they are commonly portrayed to be. Even the police cannot prosecute "hate incidents", as these are distinguished from crimes and thus cops can only record them and give warnings.

This kind of thing breaches a sacred trust. Just about every media outlet engages in exactly this behaviour. It saps the credibility of the media at large and evicerates what should be a pillar of democracy.
