Lol, you just linked to a tweet that references a black writer before calling Quillette racist. ...this is not an example of serious engagement.

Here’s another favourite with Claire...https://twitter.com/mccormick_ted/status/1003278221326995458?s=21 …

Ted McCormick @mccormick_tedRacism is not a timeless response to outsiders. It is historically specific. Like plantation slavery. Not everyone in the 18th century embraced either of these things. Several Enlightenment figures embraced both. To pretend otherwise is bullshit. https://twitter.com/clairlemon/status/1003044116974858240 …Show this thread1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -
Are you aware of what you just linked to? Claire is...obviously right in that tweet. I’m so confused about what you’re trying to say here.

I agree that you’re confused.

Completely.

The point of the tweet was that people think Quillette is fashy, but there’s little evidence. Yet historians and others constantly push back on theses articles pushing eugenics and racist tropes (fashy). It’s an example of being too lazy to look.

But that don’t actually advocate eugenics or racist tropes. THATS the reason I’m disagreeing with you. It’s not a lack of willingness to look, it’s that you’re straight up lying. Then when asked to provide examples, you present things that don’t show Quillette being racist.

Lol, Dude, if you don’t want to see it, that’s on you. Quillette had to block racism watch dog a few days ago...lol, who has do do that? No decent person or publications I know.

Still waiting for a single example. I’m here for you when you find one.

https://quillette.com/2016/04/21/the-white-death/ … I’m not discussing it further. The guy already has way too much exposure.

Nice try, but there's nothing fascist about that article, if only you'd bother reading beyond the title: "Nevertheless I make this plea to the elites of developed nations; turn not your eyes from the sick, the dying, and the desperate. Even if they vote for Donald Trump."

Replying to @G_S_Bhogal @brandonmcneice and
Random. Mr Sabisky cites Rider Haggard and continues to riff those tropes in various ways throughout his piece.
