For those who define their identity by their ideology, belief systems become as essential as digestive systems, psychological vital organs producing purpose and meaning like pancreases produce insulin. As a result, they take an attack on their views like a punch in the gut.

I’ve heard such framing before. What I do is more like asking people questions to see if their crutches support the weight of their claim. A link to my top chats are in my Twitter bio. Such inquiry seems to concern some viewers who think my interlocutors are better off mistaken.

If he had a method for arriving at truth rather than using epistemically floating assessments and assumptions on faith he might have a leg to stand on. He can go on warning his followers not to engage with me because I point out commonalities he doesn't want to acknowledge.
