I find it hard not to take criticism personally. I think I’d be more effective in lots of ways if I didn’t.

Are you aware of research that suggests the trait that leads to the taking things personally by Homo sapiens is genetic? This is a constant point of contention with my wife because I take very little personally & recover quickly from insult? I've come to presume this won't change

Growth is a thing, and both genotypes and phenotypes are heavily influenced by environment. I used to be sensitive to insults. Now I'm not.
