It sounds silly, but the trend over much of the last few years (decades?) has been to keep asserting that everything has a single root cause, from banking crises to obesity. Somehow the age TED Talks has Wikipedia assumed a great simplification when it should have been complexity

One study does not establish enough evidence to base policy on. At the very least, I'd want to see this replicated by another research group first, with a different population & control group (assuming they used one, which is unclear from the article).
