Im guessing that’s about 97% of so called twitter storms and offences. Many things are said to be „controversial“ because a few people disagree with something someone said on Twitter. No one else cares.

I'm not sure that this is entirely accurate. The trouble with twitter is that more or less every possible argument, no matter how nonsensical, is being made by someone. If you're in the mood to do a little refuting, you can always find a lame opponent to dunk on.

I’ve read arguments that “straw man” should be replaced by “weak man”. It might be true that A is not the best argument for X. It is almost never true that no one is arguing A.
