The thing is that Nazis were extreme right-wing, whereas socialism is generally left-wing. Hitler crushed the socialist faction and assassinated Strasser. Its not impossible for nationalism to have socialist characteristics, but the socialism part is more rhetorical than anything

Strasserites may be authentically down for limited "working class" projects, but I don't think their canabalization in the NSPD is a historical accident, real class analysis and successful working class action is by necessity incompatible with the organism of fascist ideology.

There are arguments to be made that fascism is an economic system, but I thik they ignore fascism's highly adaptable opportunistic relationship to the economy. Capitalism and Communism may have gotten a lot of people killed in the name of their economism....
