What's the during-the-event feeling called? :)

The horror/terror distinction originates in film theory, where most of the fear is derived from suspense (terror) or shock (horror). Since the scares in movies are brief, there's not much focus on the fear during an event, but I'd guess it'd be called a fright, or simply a scare.

So should terrorists be called horrorists then?
-
Perhaps some. Many appear to carry out attacks to make people afraid of future attacks, so, for these people at least, terrorist seems like an accurate title.

I thought horror is watching someone else suffer while terror is personal fear.
