It’s tempting to browse political Twitter in the aftermath of atrocities, but it’s rarely worthwhile. Emotions are rampant and everyone is starving for a scapegoat, giving partisans the perfect opportunity to push whatever narrative they’re selling.
Sometimes such tweets need to be shown to the wider world, to illustrate flaws in thinking. But I tend to post such tweets as screenshots, so as to limit the number of engagements with the guilty tweet.
