I identify as a centrist but not because I necessarily don't subscribe to the left-right spectrum at all... That plus the authoritarian-libertarian spectrum. Do you not define your position at all then?

I have many political beliefs, but not a single all-encompassing belief system that would place me squarely on any point of the left-right or authoritarian-libertarian spectrums.

To me left-right-centrist is useless in understanding a human. For me, I look at how much empathy disturbance is there in the political manifesto. Do they understand that uniqueness as a human is what we have common?https://vegetativetraining.wordpress.com/man-as-nature-the-metatheory-by-kjell-standal/ …

Agree - empathy is key. And can you truly understand without empathy?

Yup. I feel like many Libs in the US are finally understanding that we are, in many ways, our own worst enemies. We can't be so 'rigid' and unyielding. The only way we can move forward, effect change, is in compromise and 'understanding'. Both extremes guilty/pigheadedness.

I get this comment all the time. There's a seaming inability to view politics outside the left-right dichotomy.

Hah, the new political spectrum is from woke to red-pilled, apparently!

That's just the left-right scale on the Smug Apophenia axis

People seem to need categories. Otherwise, they actually have to think.
