The more polite way denotes it was the tweeter's fault which isn't always the case.

“Fault” is inconsequential when your goal is purely communication, and in fact hinders that goal by injecting blame/emotion. Did the person interpret your message the way it was intended or not? If not, try another strategy or you’ve failed at your goal of communicating.
