I'm convinced the populist right is just as intolerant as the social justice left. It only seems less intolerant because it has far less power over cultural institutions. Excusing intolerance due to lack of power leads to silly conclusions like "only white people can be racist".

Is there really an expectation from the right to uphold freedom of speech and differences of opinions, which almost by definition thrives on a single perspective and uses different view points just to highlight itself and demonise the later.

Freedom is often touted as a selling point of the right. But yeah, you're correct in that by definition it favours its own set of controls.

Orban is correct to ban gender studies at taxpayer funded universities. If they want to offer those degrees at private institutions, fine, but public universities should teach real skills and inquiry, not ideology.
