by the police's logic we should report South Yorkshire police to South Yorkshire police for this insulting over reaction which I find offensive.

I just thought something offensive about people easily outraged, as well as this campaign by the South Yorkshire police. I should report myself to prevent any resulting behavior.

Are we nearing the point where free speech limits become so ridiculous they expose themselves? Or was Orwell just a few decades early?

The scary thing is the wording “which can include things like offensive or insulting comments...”. What other acts not listed will be considered non crime hate. I bet the list will end up encompassing a whole lot more
