*sigh* This doesn't actually make sense, dude. You have political opinions, they place you on a spectrum. Whether you identify with "the left" or "the right" has no material impact on what stance your political opinions objectively correlate with.

Where on the spectrum would you place someone who espouses UBI?

Let’s begin to articulate an processual ontology. Rather than projecting dynamic systems as static loci upon low-dimensional maps, perhaps it makes more sense to develop an ecology of political dynamics that more readily captures the cybernetic contours of politcal space.

What is the difference between someone who believes we should strive to acheive more equality in society, someone who thinks we should have less, and someone who thinks we have just the right amount? You can't avoid picking one, by simple logic, and these positions have names.

Maybe you are to the left on some issues and to the right on others, and we've no way of computing that up to your final "label", but that doesn't get rid of the framework.

It's just one part of it, and again, unavoidable. Im with you if you are up for enlarging what it is, but of course that makes it harder to avoid

The Left-Right Political Continuum is outdated and misleading, largely because it conflates economic freedom with civic and social freedom, and those are very different, especially in the 21st century. How about using a Political Compass? https://www.politicalcompass.org/

UBI is an idea tied to an emerging materiel reality. How we engage with it may indeed be something of a political litmus test. luckily
