Serious question, not familiar with Daily Mail in US. In your opinion is it a publication with a viewpoint or is it an unworthy rag, such as our Enquirer?

Definitely an unworthy rag

Another way of looking at it is that on Twitter there is no risk of getting punched in the face for what you say, so people can express themselves more freely. Most people wouldn't have the courage to blatantly disagree with
@EdLatimore IRL. Here they can do it without fear. -
I think it’s also that there is little to no capacity for our mirror neurons to work; little to no capacity for the human tendency to seek concord with other humans to come on line. The choice to seek common ground must be willfully made when looking at a screen.

Thank you for bringing this up. I always try to keep in mind that everything I tweet is for actual humans with real lives and not some abstract concept of "other people."

Ah I truly wish so, but there ate actually a lot of monsters out there and I am not talking about trolls. Well as far as I can recall most of the real life monsters and the horrors they perpetrated were before the twitter or other social media. You are simply too kind.

That's why I always think about my tweets as if I talk to someone in a bar. Then again, in a bar I'm always drunk...
