I never find it all that profound when people say things like "you can't use empiricism to justify empiricism", but I have to admit, I've become fond of thinking about things like is in terms of "you can't use identity epistemology to justify identity epistemology"

The problem here is that all over those statements are valid social constructionist positions.

Like, the idea that social constructionism is itself a constructed knowledge is not actually some big burn that social constructionists have never thought of. The point is that social constructionism is a reflexively critical attitude towards knowledge.
