Then it’s just a matter of definition/convention. A mysterious force we call or misunderstand as free will, others may call magic fairy. Both may fail to accurately define this force. But both can be right in that outcomes are not predetermined by past events.

Even if we accept your dubious premises, you conclude from them a non-sequitur: conflating free will with indeterminism. Free will is more than indeterminism - it is self-determination. Being controlled by a magic fairy is nothing at all like making your own decisions.
