Main point was that people who have no experience negotiating shouldn't criticize the negotiation methods of those that have negotiated high stakes deals.
My point is that he is demonstrating by his current stumbling through negotiations, and his chronic lack of success in them, that his "high stakes" negotiating experience is of little value.

We differ in our evaluation of him. I think he's a fantastic negotiator, that he's not stumbling, that almost nobody else could have made as much progress in N Korea and elsewhere.

I'm not sure how you could have concluded this, given that he lies in virtually every statement he makes, frequently contradicts himself, demonstrates a severe lack of policy knowledge, and makes blunders like the recent backtrack on his Helsinki statement.
