Only if used in a partisan manner. I think the majority of people use the block button to filter out low-quality content (insults, spam, insanity, etc) rather than content they simply disagree with.

What do you think about block lists?

Sometimes, such as with lists of Russian bots, they're great. Other times, such as with political lists, they're not.

Unfortunately, yes. Not too long ago I was accused of this very thing. There's a strange and enduring assumption that the right to speak means the right to be heard.
