Religion is the crutch that enfeebled our legs, the lullaby that made us fear the silence, the ceiling that sheltered us from the majesty of the Milky Way. It nurtured us & comforted us, but could only do so by limiting us, and so it belongs to the prepubescence of the human racehttps://twitter.com/ArminNavabi/status/1015672637459087360 …

They say without religion, there would be a void that can't be filled. That religion provides community, a higher purpose, an identity... But religion is the void. It has robbed us of the means to fulfil such needs and has claimed ownership over them. We must claim them back.

You’ve lost me on this one. Many who reject religion and its beliefs offer no alternative. Is it fair to say science deals with what and religion deals with why?

There is nothing religion can offer that can't be offered, and offered better, by science, art, philosophy, love, or imagination.

Name one thing that religion can offer that can't be offered by anything else.

I *do* have evidence for it, in the form of the fact that no one can come up with something that only religion can offer. Scour the whole Internet for such a thing if you want, but please, don't waste any more of my time until you find it.

That doesn't prove anything. You said something that you don't know is true, I challenged you on it, you provided nothing but Twitter wit in response. That's no way to do "science" or "philosophy".

Prove it doesn't prove anything. Also, prove that I said something I don't know is true. Also, prove it was Twitter wit. Also, prove it is no way to do science or philosophy. See how easy and pointless your strategy for "winning" this argument is?

You assumed the winning position, by claiming religion offers nothing that science, philosophy, art, love or imagination can't offer.
