You and I appear to agree on most things, so anything I recommended as a top read would probably be preaching to the converted. I tend to find more value in reading books by those I disagree with (e.g. theologians, conservatives) but I couldn't describe any of these as a top read

I never said that what you already know can't be beneficial to learning, just that it's the biggest obstacle. If you learn calculus incorrectly, and thereby become convinced that you know it (when you don't), then this will become an insurmountable obstacle to learning physics.
