He hasn't said they shouldn't do it or it should be stopped, just that it's in poor taste & detrimental. It's free speech to not agree with other people's speech/actions.

No, he actually said that allowing the blimp to be flown was "a step too far" and shouldn't be allowed.

Haven't heard him say it shouldn't be allowed. If so, then he's wrong but I'm guessing that refers to Sadiq Khan giving the green light? And I agree it's probably a step too far as mayor of London (A step too far in poor taste & responsibility)

The headline for his radio show literally says he hammers Khan for *allowing* the blimp.

Yes, giving permission is *allowing* - I did understand that. You can criticise someone in authority for giving the green light to something you don't agree with. Doesn't mean you disagree with protest/free speech.

It kinda does, though. By criticising the decision to allow people to express themselves, you are criticising the very principle of free expression.

Yes but from what he actually said on the show, he's not criticising people's free expression to protest, or to even have the blimp walking/flying around with them. He was criticising the role & responsibility of Khan as Mayor to let it fly over the capital in the sky.

He believes people should not be allowed the right to free expression if it conflicts with his idea of decency. That is precisely the same kind of censorship he decries on the left.

Again, he didn't say people. The mayor of London made a bad decision (in his opinion)

The decision to allow people to express themselves freely.
