Put in jail for reporting truth? Not sure where you got that idea from. Despite what the populist right are saying, Tommy broke real actual laws, notably section 41 of the CJA 1925. The 1st time he broke this, he was let off with a suspended sentence. The 2nd time, he was jailed.
You don't have to be in a court to be in contempt of it, btw. You can be "within the precincts of the building", which means outside it.

If you are going to bring an article that explains the MEANING of a law, then have the courtesy to read it and think about it. If you already made up your mind, then don't pretend otherwise. If a law is abused, then people should be worried instead of repeating "party lines".

I've read it and thought about it. And I'm always open to change my mind. Personally, if I was judge, Tommy wouldn't be in jail. But then, if I was judge, many things would be different. That doesn't mean that I'm gonna be outraged when the law as it is works as intended.
