Goodness gracious me, the moral panic surrounding the notion of vaccinating children against COVID-19, which is a vaccine-preventable illness, is a remarkable sight to behold. It’s not just Scott Atlas & Martin Kulldorff expressing panic, others are too!https://www.npr.org/sections/coronavirus-live-updates/2021/05/03/993141036/children-now-account-for-22-of-new-u-s-covid-cases-why-is-that …

There was the same moral panic around the HPV vaccine because apparently getting HPV and potentially cancer is preferable to preventing it? I suspect people who view children as objects to be owned and controlled, and mere extensions of themselves, reflexively get into...

...a moral panic whenever any talk of children being collectively looked after is discussed. Same people who both want children in schools all the time but to defund schools or make them into religious indoctrination centers. Once again, it's all about "purity" and making....

Old enough to remember friends who died of Measles & Rubella, those left with permanent health disabilities from polio (friend's mum in a wheelchair) or my mum's friends who died of diptheria. Every vaccine started as 'new' but look at the lives they've saved. Vaccines work.

My dad remembers when he was young, you couldn't go abroad without a stamp in your passport that you'd had your smallpox vaccine. Vaccine passports are nothing new, just new to our generation. Most people don't know about smallpox - it was successfully eliminated with vaccines.

Schools have reopened--of course cases among children have risen especially with the new variants and many schools not requiring masks! Even if the schools require masks, many elementary children do not wear them correctly!

It’s that clever virus again? The one that knows not to attack delegates at G7 or after 17th May indoors or at all after 21st June. It’s got nothing to do with schools being open … that cases are shifting into kids a d their parents?pic.twitter.com/bdHzrgPil2

My son just turned 16 and got his first shot yesterday, but he said several of his female friends told him their parents won’t let them get it, citing their (unsubstantiated) concern re: potential fertility issues in the future.

Well those kids will have all summer to catch the virus and potentially really damage their reproductive future.
