I smell a rat here - @garetharnolduk literally rose to prominence trolling/pranking people online. He’s worked for O’Mara for 8 weeks, so knew all about his sexist and homophobic tweets before joining him. If he was a half-decent person, he wouldn’t have joined O’Mara’s staff in the first place.
He wouldn’t have used alcoholism as a stick to beat him with.
And directly @-ing Piers? This guy is a self-promoter. He wants retweets and knows how to get them.
