Of course I want my kids' schools safe, but we must look at the whole picture and not just blame legally abiding gun-owning citizens. There’s a host of issues that need to take place to make our schools safer and that’s not a Republican or Democrat issue, that’s bipartisan.

Well so far babe it sounds like all the RepubliKKKlans are against doing anything. Even your statement: there's a "whole host issues" sounds like "let's form another committee and find out what's going on". Um, no let's start with gun control and then form your damn committee

I understand the point, but what we've seen is that every law abiding gun owner is a law abiding gun owner until they're not. Nikolas Cruz was a law abiding gun owner until Valentine's Day. There has to be a way to keep guns out of the hands of the people who will break the law.
