perhaps you can start with republicans who voted with the dems.
Do the math. We needed 60 votes in the Senate to keep the government open. Republicans only have 51 senators. We needed Democrats to keep this government open. It was their decision to shut it down (even though they didn't oppose anything in the bill.) #SchumerShutdown

Chip is included in the spending bill, so Democrats are opposing child health care funding until DACA is resolved, which has a March deadline. This is all just a political power play by Democrats
