Republicans did their job & offered a solution to keep the government running! They couldn’t stop the shutdown on their own. The bill required 60 Senate votes to pass. There are only 51 Republicans. Do the math.

90% of R's voted to keep the gov't funded and 90% of D's voted to shutdown gov't funding. Even with 100% R support minor bipartisanship was necessary to keep gov't funded. D's need 2 focus on gov't funding dynamic.
