What about the sailors? The soldiers didn't walk across the Channel. How about the paratroopers of the 101st and 82nd airborne divisions? They didn't storm the beaches, but they did JUMP OUT OF AIRPLANES and drop in behind enemy lines in the dark to facilitate the invasion.
