Oil, equities, politics. Never right or left wing enough to be reliably informed. Centrist, incrementalist. So often wrong, it leads me to becoming more right.

  3. Worse still, by doing so, they're destroying future supply. This could be a self-fulfilling mkt collapse, based on pumping some sectors, while crashing others. When crude is forced to be priced at cost of production+...who ya gonna call?

  4. Crude seems the perfect "anti-market". I don't think many houses buy current equity valuations, and this is reflected in their outlook for crude. At their heart, they think the economy is headed for a shit, but they'll ride the equity bull until it happens.

  5. Would not be surprised to see CL45 tomorrow, if there is a bearish WPSR. Any OPEC+ cut will only disappoint, or be used to justify the markets panic.

So on the very same day that they've got a motion before the House to hold a committee probe into the alleged murder of a QC sex worker by someone on day parole, the Conservatives deny consent to fast track a bill to require sexual assault training for judges?

This is a bizarre thing to say. It was this very appellate court composed of federal judges that previously quashed cabinet approval - a nightmare scenario for the government.

Thanks to the WTO Government Procurement Agreement, US firms can bid on foreign government procurements worth about $900 billion every year on a level playing field. If the US withdraws, those governments would be free to discriminate against US companies.

  15. Cumulative loss to date is 0.855Mmbpd. Current loss is 1.3Mmbpd. No end in sight. Yes, CN represents a loss in demand, but LY represents a loss in supply. Nobody cares to do the net calculations amid the panic. I mean, why fuck with a perfectly good catastrophe headline?

  20. TMX Hot Take 1. Ruling was a total defeat to the parties seeking appeal, as evidenced by awarding cost to the government. 2. 60 days to appeal. 3. SCoC can choose to hear, or not hear, the appeal. 4. If allows to hear appeal, does it provide an injunction?

The meat of the FCA decision on TMX. Duty to consult does not equate to a veto or a need for perfection.
