    The atrocities pushing us to must be understood as the result of fascist state control, abuse of Black & Brown bodies, history of capitalist interests in incarceration that mirrors chattel slavery, & xenophobic efforts to suppress Black & Brown community building.

    HR 1153 came just 6 days after 12 members of the Committee & came to Georgia to hear directly from Wooten and visited Irwin to meet with immigrant women who also bravely shared their stories.
