People need to stop taking as gospel media reports, even if they're from a respected outlet. The story is only as good as it's source. In this case, the early (extremely optimistic) production number came from the same reporter. There was a similar story (and backtrack) with PS5.

Thank you for issuing this prompt clarification. The media for some God knows what reason wants this product to not succeed. This is an amazing product and launch from Sony. They just need to get the media on their side with clever and mainstream marketing.
