Without wetlands to catch & filter floods, sediment & our stuff ups like sewage, nutrient run-off etc future river & marine fisheries die. They are the land lungs that breathe for all waterways, protecting fish.

The flower spikes of Grass Trees are a world of food for insects, birds, bats. They also make an evergreen floor in shelterbelts for lambing - like a big tussock they can shelter behind. Im growing a few for our fencing project.
