Killer opening line from Senator Harris: "When the framers wrote the Constitution, they did not think of someone like me as being a United States Senator. But they did envision someone like Donald Trump being president."

For the record ... the vote to convict for Abuse of Power was bipartisan. It wasn’t just Mitt Romney bucking his GOP party. It was Manchin and Jones, Dems who rep deep red states, taking huge political risks in voting to convict.

The Republican party’s 2012 nominee for President, Mitt Romney, becomes the first Senator in American history to vote to convict a President of the same party in an impeachment trial.

I forget who told me on Twitter, but when I was pre-excusing Doug Jones possibly voting to acquit, one of you said there was NO DOUBT Jones would do the right thing, b/c he's done the right thing his whole life You were right. If Alabama can't respect that, they don't deserve him

Friendly reminder that Russia also stole emails from Republicans in 2016. They released DNC emails, so Hillary would lose, but held back RNC data to holdover the GOP. I think it is about time for House Dems to start criminal investigations into Senate Republicans. Who is with me?

On the one hand, Trump called Mexicans rapists, pledged to ban Muslims from entering the country because of their religion, allegedly committed multiple felonies, praised people marching with Neo-Nazis & KKK members. But on the other hand, did you see Pelosi tear up some paper?

That’s right, . If you support this obscene-in-every-way president, you’ve given up claim to be offended by ANYTHING.

It's amazing how offended MAGAts are about JLo & Shakira's half time Super Bowl show, but 20+ sexual assault allegations against DT & caging children don't bother them at all.

I hope everyone will join me in thanking and the full team of House managers for putting on a devastatingly compelling case that the president abused power and obstructed justice. The result of all their earnest, honorable labor is a BIPARTISAN vote for CONVICTION.

"In private, many of my [Republican] colleagues agree the president is reckless and unfit. They admit his lies. They acknowledge what he did was wrong. They know he's done things Nixon never did. They know that more damning evidence is likely to come out."

This! When a respected law professor with a blue check pays attention to the concerns with Georgia's new voting machines (barcode ballot marking devices), we should amplify it. Please do. Thanks!

Romney makes the most essential point about impeachment: "Corrupting an election to keep oneself in office is perhaps the most abusive and destructive violation of one's oath of office that I can imagine."

Your president gave the medal of freedom to a known, proud bigot... about 5 min. after recognizing a Tuskegee airman that also fought in Korea and Vietnam. You have zero moral high ground here, sir.
