Forgive me--that's the District Attorney of Nashville, not the entire state.https://apnews.com/article/nashville-laws-government-and-politics-50412b91ca33cc45c426a9b5a89b1133 …

Good. Such laws are cruel as well as a waste of resources.

Yes, ENFORCEMENT and/or ignoring. That was the same strategy used by TN Governor signing the "Butler Act" about not teaching theories that contradicted the Bible creation story. Please read history and find parallels.

Now granted I've only read the Wiki page on the Butler act... but I'm not seeing anything about TN not enforcing the butler act. Very much the opposite actually. Scopes was arrested for violating it in 1925, and then Scott filed a class-action suit in '67 that led to its repel.

What I find scary, that I might be sharing a restroom with a MAGAT.

I'm trying to get my company to pull a planned convention in Nashville. Don't have much hope, but this is relieving news. thanks for sharing.

honestly nashville needs it. it’s tough since the primary industries (tourism and entertainment) have been hit hard. if you can convince them to get local pro-LGBT or black owner businesses to cater/support the convention that’ll do more good than not going I believe!

Would anyone be surprised if the state Legislature called an emergency session to put an end to it? (while still fully supporting Constitutional Sheriffs, of course)
