It's a good reminder that the DOJ is *supposed to be* an independent agency, free of political influence. Therefore, the Biden admin's personal prioritization of these discriminatory bills must not be an influencing factor in DOJ's decision-making. However 1/2

People are policy, and Biden has appointed a great team at DOJ--including Vanita Gupta, who led DOJ's lawsuit against North Carolina back in 2016 over that state's anti-trans HB2.
