What's up with YouTube mass-demonetizing music channels, @TeamYouTube ?
First @SheetMusicBoss , then @Sully_Orch and now @EDeianamusic .
These are all people who worked incredibly hard, for years, to create transformative content like it's never been seen on the internet before.

that being said, even human reviewers have to be given criteria to achieve some element of consistency, and that's going to appear bot-like, even if it's not. I understand there's not much difference between a bot and humans who are trained with very specific rules in mind.

If that is the case, I believe those humans should probably do some proper research / comparisons before they deem something as unoriginal material. We're speaking of people who spent thousands of hours trying to renovate -not copying- things.

if it turns out these false positives (but are they really? maybe that’s what yt wants because the big bucks are in the music “personalities”??) come from manual review we’re just one step closer to “demonetized bc you do weekly covers in the same style”
-
i’m not really concerned with monetization (i survived 3+ years without it and i still am barely below the requirements) but all the previous cases point to a really unfavorable algorithm behavior for demonetized channels = no growth
