Oh, you mean all that proprietary crap with Java applets and problems with non-standard resolutions? Naah! Also, I bought into the capture card, so I have to commit to the sunken cost fallacy now.

Herzlichen Glückwunsch, Sie beschrieben gerade "KVM-Switch". Aber sag Bescheid wenn du einen vernünftigen fertig hast. Ich hätte da Interesse. :P

Would be entertained by a mashup of your hdmi signal, and USaBUSe, which (amongst other things) is a USB dongle with a WiFi interface, that enumerates as a keyboard and mouse, and accepts VNC clients to emit keystrokes and mouse movements.
-
It provides zero video signal, though, so if you could make a VNC-proxy that directed video requests to your capture card, and keystrokes and mouse movements to USaBUSe, you’d be golden.

Been there, done that: https://lukas.im/2014/06/01/diy-ip-kvm/index.html … Ugly mess of hardware and code, now it's a lot easier to implement and hardware is cheaper...
