Aren’t these announcements weird for you from the player perspective? The fans are celebrating G2 for their “commitment to the players” when in fact it’s the players that should be celebrated for committing to G2.

G2 almost certainly has stipulations in place where they can cut ties on this contract at certain intervals. Most likely at the end of each split. But the players have signed their rights away through 2022. It’s the players who have committed. Not G2.
