If you're looking for a bellwether precinct here it's probably 3146 in Katy. But Democratic votes tend to be clustered in the eastern part of the district. It's like we always say, it all comes down to turnout.

The early vote is in and it's 59-41 Gates. But that's from racking up massive margins in the more conservative western part of the district. Hopefully he cannibalized E-Day votes and we can cut into the lead over the course of the night.

A lot of folks are calling this but EV turnout was far higher in GOP areas. Seems likely the margin narrows, the question is by how much.

Again, it's really unlikely this ends up an 18-point race. At least wait until the precincts start reporting election day results before unleashing hot takes.
